Basic concepts (edit)

Whether you are planning to become the ultimate destroyer of all, or you're a peaceful builder, having some troops (and using them) is an important aspect of the game.

Get some troops[edit | edit source]

You must train some troops at the barracks. Which troops to train? All troops are okay. Generally, ask your house, maybe they have a strategy or lack a certain type of troops in their rallies. To pick one troop type, consider cavalry for their fast movement speed and AoE attacks; plus they are also good for gathering resources.

Form an army[edit | edit source]

Use the Assemble button to group your troops into armies (or expedition queues). An army is composed of:

During early levels, it's okay to mix things up. But eventually, consider building up at least one focused main troop. For example, when building an infantry army, add only infantry troops, add commanders who excel in leading infantry troops (see full list), and a dragon.

Use your armies[edit | edit source]

So what can you do with your troops? Go to the world map and check out your targets.

Single army attacks/activities
You can send one army to gather resources, transfer resources, attack villages, rebel camps, other players, NPC castles, great cities, etc.
Multiple army attacks
Send two or more armies together to attack tough targets: rebel leaders, players, NPC castles
Rally
Team up with your house mates. Most commonly used to attack fortresses and towns.
